Can I Borrow A Pen?

As a teacher I  have often wondered if there is a ball point pen graveyard in a hidden valley somewhere in deepest Africa. A place where all the lost ball point pens gather, sort of like the mythological elephant graveyard.

Think about it for a second, you have probably lost hundreds (if you are a teacher maybe thousands)  of ball point pens over your lifetime and how many have you ever found? Where do all the ball point pens go, how do they get there,  and are they ever coming back?

I  personally think they are probably off somewhere right now sipping a tall cold India Ink and having a good laugh at our expense.

About safrisri

I was a school teacher until retirement. I have taught at all educational levels from pre-school to college. My college degree is general science which I arrived at after 5 years and 5 different majors. A degree as it turns out, almost as valuable and in demand as one in Neo-Bulgarian Mythology. I have been around education for around 40 years and can remember when teaching was a pleasant, happy and creative job and our schools were the same. Now I'm the guy sitting on the porch with an opinion on everything.
