Who wouldn’t give you a drink of water?

I was looking at some websites this morning and discovered a website in Australia that  purported to show all the public toilets in Australia. I was looking at the map and thinking about it when I realized that the downtown area of my city, as far as I know,  has no public toilets or drinking fountains. And if it does have some, which it may,  It certainly doesn’t have a map of them on its website. On the other hand the downtown area is saturated with wireless access points, empty bicycle racks, beautiful large flower pots, and a huge  sky walk system.

Does it seem strange to anyone else that we have access to the internet, loads of empty  bicycle racks, year round  cover from the weather and tended  flower pots  but lack access to drinking water and toilets?

What is happening and why?

About safrisri

I have been a teacher since 1971 and have taught at all educational levels from pre-school to college. My college degree is general science which I arrived at after 5 years and 5 different majors. A degree as it turns out, almost as valuable and in demand as one in Neo-Bulgarian Mythology. I have been around education for around 40 years and can remember when teaching was a pleasant, happy and creative job and our schools were the same. My writings will reflect on my past mistakes and successes and what my students have taught me about education.
